POSHAN aims to strengthen the research and discourse on nutrition financing, an area that we commenced work on in 2012-2013.
Costing studies
To analyse public financing for nutrition in India, a Policy Note on ‘What Will It Cost?’ to deliver nutrition-specific interventions was prepared, along with the Accountability Initiative, in late 2016-early 2017. The Policy Note examines India’s nutrition interventions and generates national and state-specific cost estimates and analyses utilization patterns.
Engagement with a nutrition-financing network
The POSHAN team is working with a network of nutrition-financing researchers and development partners to extend the work from costing to budget analysis and return on investments.
