DATA ANALYTICS

Leveraging public data sets, such as the National Family Health Survey (NFHS) data, the POSHAN team has developed the following:

  • A range of knowledge products to support diagnostic assessments, benchmarking, planning, and capacity building:
    • Reports — Our in-depth documents produced at the conclusion of a research project or a landscape analysis, situation analysis, or desk review.
    • Policy Notes — Short policy-focused briefs summarizing insights from our longer research reports or other reviews examining nutrition globally or in India.
    • Data Notes — Focus on data visualization to highlight geographic and/or thematic issues related to nutrition in India. They draw on multiple sources of publicly available data.
    • Research Notes — Present a concise summary of a research study led by POSHAN and its partners.
    • Implementation Notes – Summarize our experiences related to how specific interventions or programs are delivered.
    • District Nutrition Profiles (translated to Hindi, for 8 states) — Draw on diverse sources of data to compile a set of indicators on the status of district-wise nutrition outcomes and the coverage of immediate and underlying determinants.
    • Abstracts Digests – Feature abstracts from articles published in peer-reviewed journals as well as selected non-peer-reviewed articles by researchers in reputed academic and/or research institutions, which demonstrated rigor in their research objectives, methodology, and analysis.
  • Research papers/Journal articles: Based on large data sets and exploring a range of topics related to nutrition outcomes, determinants, and interventions, these represent a whole range of our work published in leading academic journals.
