Lakshadweep

LAKSHADWEEP

Lakshadweep consists of a group of coral islands scattered in the Arabian Sea about 280 km to 480 km off Kerala coast. In 1956, these islands were constituted into a single territory, and renamed as Lakshadweep in 1973 (National Portal of India 2019). As per 2011 Census, the total population of Lakshadweep is 64,429.
