India_Plan_Achieving_Sustainable_NutritionThe Coalition for Sustainable Nutrition Security is leading a taskforce to revise the 2010 Leadership Agenda for Action, a documented plan for achieving sustainable nutrition security in India. The update is taking place to reflect recent scientific findings and to include strategies for scaling up successful programs.

The coalition had its first meeting on November 15, 2013, to seek consensus with experts and stakeholders on the list of the essential Interventions and the list of the suggested actions for each intervention in the document. They used input gathered from an online discussion summary held October 16–18.The online discussion covered wide range of topics in the areas of environmental health, maternal mental health, nutrition in emergencies, urban nutrition strategy, nutrition education, complementary feeding among others.

The task force members decided to review the essential interventions using a matrix that was agreed upon by all the members.

At the subsequent meeting, the taskforce will finalize the interventions and actions.
