Rajasthan, situated in the north-western part of India, accounts for 10.4 percent of the country’s area and includes 33 districts (Government of Rajasthan 2017). Rajasthan is home to more than 68 million people (6 percent of the population of India), of which 66.11 percent are literate. The state has a sex ratio of 888 females per 1,000 males (Census of India 2011).
